Porzano Castle

The small town is currently located in a peripheral position with respect to the busiest communication routes.
In the past, however, it was located on one of the main roads for Spoleto.
In medieval times it was one of the first castles to be part of the Terre Arnolfe, the great fiefdom, first of imperial property, then ceded to the church.
In 1332 it was part of the castle of Castiglione, with 21 fires it paid 29 money and 1 denier of focatico tax.
In 1356 he was sentenced to pay a fine for not having wanted to send one of their representatives to the parliament called in Montefiascone, by the rector of the Heritage.
In 1364 it is mentioned in the chamber register of Cardinal Albornoz with the name of Pruzano.

Hello Silvio,
It's a fine old castle, but I like the colours of the house in the background just as much. That wall looks like a modernist painting. You captured the texture of the grey stone walls well with perfect light and contrasts.

An unusually narrow looking castle. A good photo with plenty of good detail although it looks like you've got a few dust spots on your camera's sensor (you can easily clone them out).

You have sometimes such great skies that I started to suspect they are not real but in this photo there are some dots in the sky, probably dust on the sensor which indicates the sky is very much real :)
Lovely asymmetric capture, on such a great weather day everything looks beautiful!
