Monte San Vito Castle - Scheggino (PG)
Ancient castle, found among the places subject to the Municipality of Spoleto in the lists of 1361 and 1490, today it has the appearance of a modest mountain village. It is the highest locality in the municipality of Scheggino (m.962), it derives the name of a saint much venerated in the area, also honored in the church downstream, near Ceselli.
The settlement is perfectly aligned with those of Civitella and Ceselli, along the old road that reached Monteleone di Spoleto and the ancient kingdom of Naples.

Hello Silvio,
Another majestic view from a mountainous region. The village on the mountainside looks quite isolated and lonely. You found a good point of view and handled the light well.
Best regards,
Gert

Hi Silvio
its cute how the town is presently shaded by the clouds, like in protection mode. its amazing to see these towns perched on hillsides like this, and how they survive and thrive being so isolated is stunning. wonderful shot from up here. cheers

Ciao Silvio,
Interesting effect, usually you have the village in the sunshine and everything else in the shadow, here you have the opposite. The whole landscape is brightly lit and the sky is blue but the town itself seems as if there was a cloud hanging only over the village. As if it was a village of sinners who are not allowed the sunshine.
Beautiful view,
M
