Grost
Massif of Grost seen from Campo Carlo Magno.
Cima del Grost (2901 m a.s.l.) is a mountain in the southern Rhaetian Alps, in the Brenta Dolomites. It is the most imposing peak, although not the highest, of the sub-group to which it gives its name.
The first mountaineering ascent was made in 1882 by the Roman Alberto de Falkner with his ten-year-old son Orazio and the Bolognese G. Pigozzi. The summit had previously been climbed by hunters.
