End of a love, a photo from Milan, Lombardia

Photographer's Note

I was driving my eight years old car bringing with me my three little sons when I met her. Immediately I changed my course to follow her: a great love was borning. She entered in a courtyard of a church and my courtship started. How many photos did I shot? I cannot remember. My sons abandoned in my car ( oh, why did I buy you?) were speechless. I was telling her about my passion when finally I saw she was crowned by flowers. Oh despair! She was already engaged. End of a love.

The old car is a Fiat 1100 (made in 1950). I chanced to meet her just in the courtyard of the church where I was baptized. The car was been hired for a religious wedding.

I like the shot, but maybe I would crop it a little at the top. Well done!

Wondeful old car, in excellent condition and color, and it mach the house in back-))

Good compoced photo, I agree in a little crop in top, just so the sky was not show in pic., but great anyway.

Surely a beauty you found for us here - I can't remember seeing her kind in Denmark - I'm not that old after all ;-)

But I can remember my first car a Fait 600 with "kidnapper doors" if you know what this means :-))

Une bien jolie histoire Gae. J'ai reconnu la marque de la voiture "FIAT", j'aime beaucoup les voitures anciennes qui me rappellent mon enfance (je suis n� en 1946).

What a beautiful old car, Gae. A very distinctive design that I think I remember from some old Italian movies. The environment you captured it in makes a very suitable setting. Looks great in color, but might also be really good in sepia, to increase the "retro feel". Thanks for sharing!
