Photographer's Note
Liechtenstein is the fourth smallest sovereign country in Europe. It lays at the Rhine Valley between Austria and Switzerland with a surface of 160 sq km and a population of 33'000. Of these about 34% are foreign. So, only about 20'000 are citizens of Liechtenstein. We can see that it is a kind of strange privilege to be citizen of Liechtenstein. A foreign person has to live 30 years there to have the right to become citizen or can become citizen through a popular votation. But a better privilege is to be the Prince of Liechtenstein.
Though Liechtenstein has a parlament (25 members) and a government (5 ministers) the power of the Prince is by far more than in other parlamentary monarchies in Europe. Opposition speaks from a situation close to dictatorship. The Prince has large possesions in the country and abroad and his wealth is counted in about 4'000 millions dollar.
The official language is German but spoken among the population is an allemanic dialect. The official currency is the Swiss Franc. Liechtenstein has not an Army.
The panoramic view was difficult because of the strong back light on the clouds but I wanted to show this view from the castle were the Prince lives and the city of Vaduz below as a "privat yard".
