Sliema farewell :(

Sliema is a town in Malta, on a peninsula across Marsamxett Harbour from Valletta. Sliema and the coastline up to St. Julian's is Malta's main coastal resort and is ringed with modern apartment blocks.
Sliema got its name from the Our Lady of Good Voyage Chapel, that now no longer exists. It periodically served as a reference point for the sailors and fishermen in Marsamxett Harbour. The name could thus be connected with the first words of the Hail Mary prayer, which in Maltese is "Sliem Għalik Marija". Sliem is the Maltese word meaning peace. The construction age of the church is unknown but it was included in a map by the Order of St. John even before being handed the Maltese islands to them.

Malta, officially known as the Republic of Malta (Maltese: Repubblika ta' Malta), is a Southern European island country consisting of an archipelago in the Mediterranean Sea. It lies 80 km south of Italy, 284 km east of Tunisia, and 333 km north of Libya. The country covers just over 316 km2, with a population of just under 450,000 (despite an extensive emigration programme since the Second World War), making it one of the world's smallest and most densely populated countries. The capital of Malta is Valletta, which at 0.8 km2, is the smallest national capital in the European Union. Malta has two official languages: Maltese and English.

That's a great scene, the boats create points of interest everywhere and those trees in semi silhouette are a great idea for the lower part of the frame. the sea is a particularly beautiful blue

nice the panoramic view of the port of Sliena,with the quality of the photo to be not so good,especially the apartment buildings on the left.The horizon also tilt on the left...

Looking at the strong perspective distortion of the picture I suppose that you used the panorama facility of your camera. I sometimes try to use this function, but it isn抰 easy to get an optimal result. You picture gives beautiful overview of the harbour.

That is quite a panorama. It certainly encom0passes a lot of the area. These are sometimes difficult to do as the depth of field is a problem. I like the composition. and the colors are well done. I do not do workshops, but if I had, I would likely adjust the lighting just a bit to give more lighting to the foreground. Great scene. I can see there is more to Malta than a five hours stop in the Capitol. Regards, Roger

a beautiful view and a excellent panorama where we can see the whole harbour area. I haven't been to Malta but I can see that it looks like a nice place and are famous for a pleasant climate. The parts to the right in the picture seems to have older and interesting architecture, nice! Tfs!

Pretty good stitching in this superb wide angled panoramic composite with amazing repetition of the boats & palm trees. I would have preferred the fg was not in deep shadow. Tfs!

What a lovely panorama with the sweeping view portraying the beautiful waterfront filled by the eye-catching white boats well spread across the frame and drawing attention as strong focal point. I love the smoothness, colour contrast and immense detailed with excellent bit of foreground features strengthening the whole shot.
