Photographer's Note

On the way to Mogren beach in Budva you can see this statue of a young dancing girl.

This is a beautiful spot where people come to take pictures with the panorama of Old Town in background.

There are many legends about the creation of the monument. Some say that it is a monument to the famous Montenegrin gymnast, crashed over a cliff in these places, but what it can not be called. Others tell the tragic story of a young couple in love. When bathing they were attacked by a shark. The girl managed to get to shore, and the boy escaped. After this terrible tragedy she came every evening to the shore and waited for her lover out of the sea. But the miracle did not happen, and the girl could not live without her love.

Jak moze wiesz mam podobne zdjecie ale zdecydowalem sie wkleic bez ludzi. Will wkleil podobne ale bez widoku miasta w tle za to z baletnica pozujaca tuz obok. Twoje jest czyms pomiedzy. Na pewno bardzo humorystyczne z ta baletnica wykonujaca jakas inna figure. Nie wiedziec zreszta czemu? Przeciez to co robi nie przypomina posagu w ogole?
Tak czy owac swietny reportaz, sporo udalo Ci sie zobaczyc. Piekny kraj chcialbym tam kiedys wrocic...

The unusual statue makes for a great view of the old town of Budva, and the woman doing her exercise on the rock complements the photo perfectly. Is she your wife, or did you really come across her by coincidence? Anyway, it's a good and humorous photo.

What a nice place for such a nice little sculpture at the top of this rock. It looks great in front of the houses of the town. The lady trying to imitate the sculpture is very nicely included too. Well captured.

Budva like Cobenhagen, a young lady instead of a mermaid on a rock...
I remember seeing this on Budva shores near the walls of the old town.
The young lady was trying same pose as the statue... well not really the same... nice taken moment.

Hello Piotr,
The lady in the foreground seemingly trying to emulate the dancer featured in the sculpture brings another dimension to the composition. Good control over depth of field ensures pin sharp clarity throughout the composition. The composition itself is very well constructed - our eyes move naturally from the lady to the sculpture to the ultimate focal point supplied by the church tower. Perfect technical realisation.

There is a certain symmetry between the ballerina statue and the fg girl. I recognise the pier in the bg. It's a good swimming spot and a way to avoid the black sea urchins near the shore. Tfs!
