Zadkine's Destroyed City, a photo from Zuid Holland, South

Photographer's Note

This is the statue called "Destroyed City" in Rotterdam by night. It is made by Ossip Zadkine. The whole centre of Rotterdam was bombed by Germany May 1940. The city lost its hart. I wanted to show a difference between day and night of the same subject.

C'est tr鑣 beau ; il aurait fallu mettre en flou, l'arri鑢e plan qui est tlrop marqu�.

Deze foto is naar mijn mening gezien het puntenaantal zwaar ondergewaardeerd!
Het standbeeld zelf belichaamt al dramatiek, en dat wordt nog eens prachtig versterkt door het sterke licht dat er achter vandaan komt. Ik vind dit een heel sterke foto.

I have seen that you have another picture of the same statue: much better this with the light behind the statue.

Hi Hendrik. Ik zag toevallig dat je geantwoord had. Inderdaad deze is geweldig met dat licht op de achtergrond.
