Photographer's Note

Until last week only take-away and delivery meals were available in The Netherlands. As you can imagine they were very busy. Since last Wednesday cafes and bars with outside terraces can also serve meals which takes the pressure off of the take-aways and allows Madame Saigon of few zen moments.

Hello Elaine,
This is the kind of snapshot from the street that I love. It's a well captured amusing scene, and the different parts of what we see complement each other well. I am just slightly surprised to find the message on the window written in English. I would hardly expect that even in Sweden, which is a highly anglicized (or rather Americanized) country.

Hi Elaine,a situation that I know very well, I am a bartender and for us too, since a week, it is also possible to serve at the tables, but only if they are placed outdoors. Hello Elaine,

In Belgi� pas vanaf zaterdag gaan de terrassen weer open.
De Belgen trokken met groepen naar de Nederlandse grensterrassen de laatste tween dagen.
Deze mevrouw zal minder moeten leveren en geniet van haar zen moment.

Hello Elaine,

I have to say, I loved to study your photograph!
Madame Saigon is completely in a world of her own and the whole composition of your photograph directs us to observe her as she descends deep into her meditation!

There are also other things to observe, like the varied wheel reflections in the door. They should convince that this is Holland.

Hello Elaine,

Missed this one. A very nice snapshot from the street and good that takeaway and delivery only, have finally ended, with patrons allowed to dine in at last, although low long this will last, nobody knows. Here every 2nd seat had to be empty and no more than 10-15 people inside at a time, depending on the size inside. Tfs!
