Miniature town, a photo from Zuid Holland, South

Photographer's Note

Madurodam is a small scale miniature town at Scheveningen (near The Hague) and is since many years one of the most important tourist attractions of the conurbation of Western Holland (called "Randstad"). On a scale 1:25 a charming picture of The Netherlands is given in bird's eye view: several important buildings, churches and townscapes are reconstructed up to the smallest details. There is also a fine transport system: a network of railroads, harbours and motorways covers the park and Madurodam Airport enables air traffic with all continents.
The miniature suite Madurodam consists of eight short parts presenting a musical impression of the smallest town in The Netherlands.

About 40 years ago I went to this place, must have changed a lot, a fine sharp and clear colored documentary shot Leonor fine to sse it again after so many years, must have some shots in my oldest photo-album.

Ap髎 o centen醨io e uma pausa, c� temos o cento e um, que n鉶 sendo uma r閜lica do Portugal dos pequeninos � uma captura muito bem realizada a esta miniatura de um local Holandes com forte atrac玢o turistica. Com uma olhadela ligeira at� parece real e uma foto tirada de um ponto elevado. Bom enquadramento geral, cores, detalhes uma excelent composi玢o.

composi玢o equilibrada. Penso que se voc� tivesse tirado a foto s� dos detalhes em miniatura a uma certa dist鈔cia, todos pensariam que fosse real. Somente com a presen鏰 dos turistas � esquerda � que conseguimos imaginar o cen醨io real.

Hi Leonor,
A well composed shot of this miniature town. Everything is in such perfect scale. Your POV allows the viewer to imagine for a moment that one is looking down from a great height at a true scene. The tourists provide warmth and also a sense of proportion for the scene. Very well captured.

Como si de un juego se tratara, creo que yo hubiera sacado de la foto todo elemento "real" y habr韆 hecho pasar, solo aparentemente, la miniatura como real.
Sea como sea, sacar a la gente real junto a la miniatura tambi閚 le da su qu� a la foto.

there is a similar park also in Milano, that was called when i was child "Minitalia"...today it still exsists, but it changed name.
good light, colours and focus.

Hi Leonor.

In Barcelona we have something similar called "Catalunya en miniatura" and It's nice to "see it again" in Holland.

Nice scale with the buildings and the people. The colours are lovely.

I was here a couple of week ago for the firs time. It was smaller, but nicer than I had expected.
Very nice photo. I like the including of the people, although I have the feeling that the photo is a bit tilt to the left.
