Vijfsluizen blue hour (Subway st XVII), a photo from Zuid Holland, South

Photographer's Note

Captured in Schiedam, the RET (Rotterdam public transport service) Subway station Vijfsluizen, designed by Zwarts & Jansma, architects.

A remake of Subway station, one of my first posts on TE. The same station and the same compositional intentions. But with a different understanding of perspective and light. And a better camara ;-) Just like the initial shot, the cam was placed on an elevated stainless steel part of the platform.

# 17 of my Subway stations - Graphical Urban transit theme.

This station is part of the above ground stretch of the Oost-West (East-West) line, after extention called the Benelux line and now called B line. The first name stayed close to the thing the lines does and its orientation - it connects Rotterdam with its eastern and western suburbs.

I just have to say 'Well seen'!
This is a fine pattern of man-made structures working hand-in-hand with Nature. There are so many ways of looking at it, so many routes, that it is a very exciting picture. The tonal values respond well to the shot, too.

every time I go to Schiedam is for my job and it's early in the morning or later in the day, so it doesn't surprise me that I never notice this structure :)
surely a place that invites to this kind of photography - you picked a perfect "light moment" for your remake ;)

Wauw wat een verrassing om jou te ontdekken,je galleri is een doos vol verrassingen!
Ik zie gewoon heel veel kwaliteit,hier zie je kans om de lelijkste plek ter wereld(want dat is heel zuid holland ;]])mooi en spannend te maken,een hel mooie blauwe avondstemming.

train stations, bus depots, railways lines...they all make for awesome subjects.
as your usual, you create masterful compositions.
this one is one of your best.
to say its an eye catcher is an understatement!
