"Waiting to dive into the windows", a photo from Noord-Brabant, South

Photographer's Note

It was taken the same place as the previous posted picture 'The shooting water Fountain' in Breda castle.

This time I show the canal with the reflection of the castle. I was lucky , it was sunny and no wind to disturb the water, only the Grebe - busy diving/swimming , looking for tiny fishes and snails ( I think ).

As usual, two more pictures in WS.

Hello Loong,
This is VERY nice, slightly looking like a surrealistic painting. A very normal bird swimming towards a very strange house. The clear blue water suddenly becomes a very twisted brown wall. It's also a very nicely balanced photo, even though the poor bird looks like it's soon to fall into a trap. The first WS is also very nice, and the second one explains the situation. I will add this to my favourites for the good observation and the fine clarity and colours.

What a superb photo of these reflections. The gentle waves of the water surface gave such a nice level of distortion to the brick wall and the combination with the deep blue part is excellent. Superb addition of the bird as well. Great work, well spotted.

Hi Loong,reflections are always nice to take,and when there is something of special inside is better. Great idea this grebe swimming close to the reflected facades, the composition is ver very bright, i like a lot the other in the WS with the circles made by a fish,useful full view of this lovely place too. Hello Loong,
I like this kind of shot, and I usually take some when I visit Central Park. The wavy and inverted reflection is eye-catching, and the blue color of the sky looks even more vibrant reflected in the water. The bird was captured in the perfect spot, too. Take care!

Hello Loong,
Your second picture in the WS gives a good view of Breda Castle and the canal.
But your main picture and also the first one in the WS are so very special. The reflections are beautifully distorted and yet so clear and colourful.
The grebe plays an important role on both photos.
Nicely taken and presented with a bit of humour.
I like these pictures.

Hello Loong, Superb observation. Indeed, it seems that this Podiceps cristatus wants to swim into the windows. Fantastic beautifully saturated colours, nice distortions. The Workshop pictures are also nice but this is the best.

Very interesting, almost surrealistic. The normality of the bird and the distortion of the windows plus the blue reflected sky make it quite special.

Three very good photographs but, for me, this is the best.
The grebe looks intent on peeping through the window of this very wobbly house!

Hello Loong, the canals of Amsterdam offer so many opportunities for pictures like this.
I love the distortion of the reflected building.
A very good composition where the building takes up more than half of the frame.
The grebe will soon disturb the shapes!
