Village on the fjord shore, a photo from Sogn og Fjordane, South

Photographer's Note

This is the village of Aurlandsvangen, which is the administrative center of the municipality of Aurland in Sogn district of Sogn og Fjordane county in Western region of Kingdom of Norway. Shot was made from the boat during our trip along the route �Gudvangen village � N鎟鴜fjord � Aurlandsfjord � Fl錷 village�. The most part of the trip was under rain. Only at its end, when the finishing-point distance was less then 10 km, I was able to shoot several scenes.

Hello Sergiy,
This is a very nice photo, so you were lucky to get better weather towards the end of the trip. The village is beautifully situated on the steep slope beneath the mountain. I think life is good in a place like that, but for the young people such a small place far from the cities is probably boring sometimes. This photo on the other hand is very interesting and offers a lot of fine details.

The green hill slopes form a beautiful background for the white, red and yellow houses of this charming village. The place looks so nice and inviting and the reflections in the calm water make a nice detail too.

I'm certainly no expert on Norway, but I know these are the classic/typical style of homes we often see in this beautiful country. and often they're up on the hillsides like this too.
lovely light and exposure, the green grass makes for the perfect colour contrasts too. looks like a peaceful town.

A nice scene from the charming village of Aurland. I know well this place, I drove through the village only a few weeks ago. A pity you didn`t got luck with the weather, but that`s how summer is like in this region, you never know. Especially the red buildings stand out very well among all the green in the hillside. You also got some effect of the reflections, especially in the calmer inner parts of the fjord. Fine shot:) Hope you enjoyed your trip, despite the bad weathre. The N鎟鴜fjord is quite impressive, and it`s a beautiful area. Thanks.

Beautiful view of this town, with its houses staggered on the hillside, impresses greenery everywhere, even gives his reflections color water; this year I have been in Norway and I have been enjoying all this.

Сергей, привет! Да, фьорды - это моя давняя мечта, после рассказа старого приятеля о поездке. Хотя, здесь не слишком видны масштабы фьорда. С высоты вид более впечатляющий. Тем не менее, отличное качество, и повышает настроение. Есть к чему стремиться.
На Гуаме не так колоритно, как на Филиппинах. Это часть США, там все упорядочено. Природа, конечно, красивая, но остров маленький. Покажу со временем все.
