Photographer's Note

There is a word in English language 搒tranded. It is mainly used to describe ships or whales which got stuck on the shallow waters and cannot move anymore. For me, because I speak German, the word stranded feels very much related to the beach, because the German word for beach is 揹er Strand. So 搒tranded feels to me like stuck on the beach.

Well, in this photo I captured one more of those old-fashioned trams, which are stuck where they are, and I created a special term for them as being 搒-TRAM-ded.
You may remember my photos of a very similar tram taken in my hometown Tarnow:

as much as in Tarnow they converted the tram into a little caf, here in the old town of Slupsk they made it into a souvenir shop. I cannot tell whether it is a popular approach these days to use old trams as a decoration of old towns in Poland, personally I have seen only these two cases.

Behind the tram you can see in this photo the New Gate (Nowa Brama) which houses today a little gallery of modern art.
