152 MM M1943 HOWITZER (D-1)

The 152 mm D-1 howitzer designed in a short within three weeks of spring 1943. Between 1943 and 1949, about 3000 exemplars left assembly lines. The baptism of fire took place shortly after battle of Kursk. After 1945 the Warsaw Pact and Soviet allied forces worldwide used it in large numbers. The 8th Artillery Brigade of the Polish 2nd Army used the visible D-1s during the World War II.
