Photographer's Note
I thought that having uploaded 18 photos from Madeira is a good moment to stop my reportage from this beautiful island. But then again the alternative would be to take a break from TE or go back to my archives, so why not continue this beautiful subject for a couple more photos instead? In regard to the subject selection, I have some spectacular sights photographed in a poor light so they don't look as impressive as in the reality or I have photos taken in quite simple spots but in a gorgeous light, which makes them more attractive then they actually were. I suppose I can alternate between them. As you may remember I have a weakness for palm trees. I am so easy to please: a bit of sunshine, a couple of palm trees and I start jumping of joy.
This photo was taken on the parking at trailhead to Ponta de S鉶 Louren鏾. We had a stunning sunshine there. We didn't know that half an hour later or so, we will be soaked in a terrible storm while hiking along the cliff edge.

Hi Mariusz,it seems really impossible to think that half an hour later all hell would be unleashed .. ahaha ... a beautiful sun, a beautiful view and two palm trees, a recipe that I really like too. Perfect capture again this time! And if it has something interesting to show even if the quality is not the best, put it anyway, every day we surely see even worse here ... ahhaa .. Have a nice evening and thanks,Luciano

Hi Mariusz
Keep posting please. I've never been to Madeira and all I know of the place is the cake. Looks deceptively dry and arid here. Who could have foreseen the bad weather coming? Tfs!

Hello Mariusz,
It continues to amaze me that this eastern cape of the island also received a heavy rain shower.
In guide books it is usually described as a desert and that's what it looked like when I was there. A very different region from the rest of Madeira.
Have you been to that picnic area on the cape where hundreds of lizards live? When I was there, it was impossible to eat the picnic I brought. Everyone was attacked (and even jumped) by multitudes of lizards.
The palm trees in the picture seem to me to be quite small, although they have a sturdy trunk.
The photo is excellently composed and has good depth.
It clearly leaves more expectations for the rest of the day.
Best regards, Paul

Hello Mariusz,
A false promise it was indeed then, because there seems to be absolutely no sign that a storm would come so soon. The calm blue sea and clear sky look great and the palm trees are well placed at left.

Hi Mariusz
Maybe you have been fooling us about the weather in Madeira!
You didn't waste the opportunity to capture this scene in brilliant is rare sunlight. A well balanced land and seascape photo.
cheers

these palm trees are native from the neighbor canary islands. looks like you didn't visited curral das freiras, one of the most fabulous places of the island, the original crater.
nice view, in fact we would think it would be a dry sunny day. nice image.
take care

Hello Mariusz,
There was no sign of coming storm to this beautiful side of the island.
The blue ocean is stunning sight, contrast well with the brown slope and the trees. Looks as a great hiking place, hope you got back safe from there.
Have a nice sunday,
Ike

Hello Mariusz,
Yes, from the looks of this photo, one can't imagine there'll be rain soon. In spite of all that rain, the place still looks yellow.
Regards,
MT
