Photographer's Note

The Park and Gardens of the Crystal Palace is a pleasant green space located in the town Massarelos is the city of Oporto, from which enjoy stunning panoramic views of the Douro river and the sea.

These romantic gardens were designed in the 1860s by German landscape Emilio David, to involve the then Crystal Palace, replaced by Rosa Mota Pavilion in the 1950s.

The romantic gardens of the Crystal Palace, have always been a privileged stage for various cultural, social, entertainment and public amusements of various kinds and even ostentatious displays, such as the International Exhibition of 1865, or the Colonial Exposition of 1934.

The set includes the Biblioteca Municipal Almeida Garrett - representing a multipurpose space with multiple functional areas - and a restaurant and a terrace overlooking the lake.

Lovely combination between the green trees against the hall.
You did very well add the couple in foreground, this for the scale.

interesting modern buildin in Porto. Perfect symmetry, nice colours. Nice to see such a blue sky when outside the window it is grey and gloomy.
