A curiously painted wall seen close to the indoor market in Lagos. It turned out it belonged to the Lagos Science Centre building.

I love these creative solutions to make an attractive design from an ordinary, boring facade. The geometric surfaces of these cubes fit well with a Science Centre.

Attractive painted facade with almost a 3D effect, variable from diff. sections - but altogether a nice idea instead of the traditional azolejos.

Un propri閠aire de maison qui a un petit c魌� tr鑣 artistique. L'effet est un petit peu d閟tabilisant mais cela a du punch. Cela ne sera pas facile � repeindre . Belle ligne de fuite.

Hello Stephen,

I'm not sure if this is "Cubism" or not but, at first glance, it reminded me of the "Dazzle" paint jobs on Royal Navy ships which confused the crew of U-boats who were out to sink them. But they, of course, were only black and white and not pleasingly colourful like this interesting building.

In fact, I rather like the colour scheme of this building though I wouldn't want it on my own house. You have captured the scene very well in a fine composition with lovely strong diagonal perspective, nice lighting, rich colours and exquisite sharpness.

What a quirky looking building with its hot, and pale pink and black square designs on the facade. It reminds me of this old shot:

These wall paintings are beautiful and make the fa鏰de very dynamic and colourful. The reddish and purplish tones go very nicely together, especially in this warm sunlight too. The traditional style of the balconies adds a nice contrast.

Hello Stephen, The patterned walls are a crazy, but brilliant, treatment of this building -but not sure I would want to live opposite it! The colours are wonderful and your simple treatment, letting the subject fill the frame, is certainly the right one.

This is a very original , uexpected painting of a fa鏰de in Lagos !
Quite a contrast between the cubic motives and the elaborate railings. It makes a difference from azulejos indeed !
