Pra鏰 Lu韘 de Cam鮡s

Here抯 another photo from Lagos, Portugal. It shows the Pra鏰 Lu韘 de Cam鮡s, which is a square best-known for a house with a green ceramic tile fa鏰de. The light was not very favourable for good photos of it, when I was there, so instead I抣l have to show the other side of the square. The square is named after Lu韘 de Cam鮡s, a 16th century Portuguese poet.

Hallo Lars,
De tegels op de pleinen en voetpaden vormen op vele plaatsen in Portugal een kunstwerk op zich. Met vaak prachtige slingervormige lijnen zoals hier.
Je genoot eind december van heerlijk weer.
Aantrekkelijke combinatie van licht en schaduw.
Mooie voorzijde van het gebouw rechts met de vele azulejos.

Hej Lars,
Det finns redan flera bilder av den gr鰊a byggnaden, s� det g鰎 inget att du blev tvungen att rikta kameran 錿 ett annat h錶l. Det h鋜鋜 ocks� en fin vy med de vita byggnaderna, tr鋎en och det typiskt portugisiskt m鰊strade torget. Det 鋜 fantastiskt att det var dagen f鰎e ny錼saftonen och m鋘niskorna g錼 kl鋎da som under h鰃sommaren under en klarbl� himmel. Du hanterade de starka kontrasterna fint.

Goedenavond Lars,

Heel mooi stadsgezicht met de decoratieve vloer in de voorgrond.
Het groen van de bomen en de schaduwen brengen alles mooi beweging.
De witte fa鏰de en de blauwe hemel zijn een mooie schakering.

cam鮡s has the same meaning for portuguese language as Dante and Shakespeare have to english and italian.
nice view of this small square, curious the building, something high for the age it was built. nice typical details.

The presence of the persons is animatimg the scene. The point of view is showing the details of the monument and of the facade of the buildings. The light is giving good colors rendering. Have a nice day.

A charming old town square nicely composed with the white washed building draws the eye as main feature. It's full of clear details, subtle lighting and contrast, and the people add something to gaze as an added value. Excellent take, Congrats

Hi Lars,
I spent in Lagos a couple of days and yet I completely don't remember this place. May be it is time to revisit, if not the place than at least the photos I took there.
This is a nice composition with plenty of vegetation in the middle of the town. Nice contrast of the architecture and saturated green trees. As usually in Portugal they have here this nicely patterned pavement.

Fascinating square of this small town. Round patterns of square tiles look great. No doubt the result has required careful planning and building. Shadows and sunshine look also very nice on those patterns.

For a moment I thought you had been to Nigeria, but no, this is still in Portugal. Good colour sharpness and framing. Superb shadow detail and no oe despite the very bright highlights. Tfs!

Hello Lars,
Typical paved with mosaic-style of pedestrian roads as we could see around several places in Portugal.
Good division on the scene from shadowed part up the well lit house and sky above. Fine contrast managed.

Hello Lars,

It is a very beautiful square, with its attractive floor mosaics, pretty, surrounding buildings with balconies and trees to add softness and shade.
The contrasts of sunlight and shadows create a very gentle ambience to the scene, a pleasant place to stop for refreshments.

Do you remember the slippiness of those pebble surfaces?
