Lighthouse Symmetry

This lighthouse is located near the Ponta da Piedade (Point of Mercy), a headland south of the town of Lagos. Its name is simply Farol da Ponta da Piedade. It was built in 1913 and has a height of 51 metres.

Tornet till h鰃er bryter symmetrin lite, men det 鋜 vad som beh鰒s f鰎 att en bild inte ska k鋘nas monoton. Palmerna 鋜 fint placerade och den r鰀a kupolen lyser upp hela bilden, och det g鰎 ocks� det varma ljuset.

I'm a huge huge fan of lighthouses...they're all so unique and individual, and for some reason just so photogenic. this one looks like a prison haha...the bottom half anyways. too bad about the tower on the right, its a bit intrusive on the otherwise attractive compo. good one

The palm trees are giving a touch of nature to the scene. The point of view is showing the details of the lighthouse. The light is giving good colors rendering. Have a nice day.

Niet meteen het meest pittoreske vuurtorentje, maar wel een heel mooie foto. Het is de compositie, de symmetrie, die het hem doet. Ik vraag me af of ik die metalen toren rechts nu jammer vind omdat die de symmetrie verstoort, of net leuk omdat die de symmetrie wat verstoort. Tja.

The red beacon area of the lighthouse gives a superb warm vs cold colour contrast with the blue sky. Seems you have started a trend! Several more lighthouse shots today as well! The 2 white walls either side add symmetry. Tfs!

I remember visiting this spot. Why didn't I show it in my reportage!
Great composition with the palm trees symmetrically decorating the lighthouse and the white fence also inviting to visit.
The tower in the right damages a bit the mood but being in the corner it does not attract too much attention,

Symmetry is certainly the operative word!
Even the guiding slope has excellent symmetry, apart from the shadows!

It is a perfect symmetry picture, Lars, except for the antenna pylon on side's. Something you could not avoid.
Outlines in clear manner, light and colors marvelously collected.

Hallo Lars,
Twee palmbomen spelen mooi in op de symmetrie van het gebouw.
Een derde groeit verscholen achter de vuurtoren.
Ook de witte muren op de voorgrond versterken het symmetrische beeld.
De kleuren van de foto laten me vermoeden dat je hem laat in de namiddag of heel vroeg in de ochtend nam.
