Tram Jam, a photo from Lisboa, South

Back from a bad internet connection and too much work to do, today I bring you a photo taken last year near "S鉶 Vicente de Fora Church".
I was wandering around when I saw this typical scene there the traffic jam made with trams.
It's not hard to understand why as the streets are so tiny around there.

We are neighbours today !
I like the trams...particulary in Lisbon...is a very good subject for photographers...I never went to Lisbon but I know its trams thanks to TE photographers.
Interesting composition and desaturation of the background is a very good idea here.

I like the idea, the trams in color in the middle of BW rest of the photo, it gives an interesting effect.

I like the scene you captured here and most of all the desaturation you did gives enother fine sense to the whole scene.It gives a timeless feeling.Beautiful image!

Bonjour Paulo,
une ville vraiment atypique Lisbonne, sans doute une des ville o� le tram occupe la plus grose proportion de la superficie. Une vue qui montre ici une chose rarement visible, presque un embouteillage de trams.
Un traitement en PP qui met bien en 関idence les v閔icules avec leurs couleurs vives.

Ol� Paulo, quase que nem se percebe como os el閏tricos conseguem passar uns pelos outros naquele estreitamento, mas isso � sem d鷙ida uma das coisas que atrai nos bairros antigos de Lisboa. N髎 ontem tamb閙 apanh醡os um engarrafamento enorme destes amarelos na baixa, mas sem nenhum vermelho ;-) Interessante trabalho art韘tico de desatura玢o para destacar as cores destes charmosos meios de transporte que atrai tanto tur韘ta. Espero que nunca acabem com eles. A cena est� bem apanhada e os 4 enchem bem a imagem...apesar de tudo, acho que gostava de ver a vers鉶 original a cores...

Excelente composi玢o dos nossos amarelos e vermelhos da carris. Por muitas fotos que se fa鏰 deste tema consegue-se sempre um novo POV.
Este engarrafamento de el閏tricos � interessante, entre dois deles est� um carro ensanduichado ( foi meter-se onde n鉶 era chamado).
O mix P&B com cores agrada-me bastante.
Nota:tamb閙 tenho um pequeno engarrafamento de trens que mais parece uma corrida :

Hello Paulo,
A picture that reminds me of very happy hours when we went there last year. Good idea of desaturating the image to turn it to b&w and leave the trams in color. These are so typical of Lisboa and especially of this old part.

You know that I love Lisbon trams :)) This time I must say that I like the scene with many trams but I would leave all the scene in color version. I think that there are too much elements in color for this technique. I would choose color at all or B&W at all I think. But overall composition is full of great atmosphere...

me gusta esta escena urbana tan t韕ica de Lisboa, con los tranv韆s de colores, que has respetado en la foto, desaturando el resto. Esto crea un fuerte contraste, aunque yo hubiera preferido ver toda la composici髇 en color.
De todas formas, el ambiente y los elementos captados en tu foto funcionan perfectamente, dan un gran efecto visual.
Espero que no vuelvas a tener problemas de conexi髇, y podamos seguir viendo tu buen trabajo fotogr醘ico.

Hi Paulo, great partial desaturation to point out those trams, so photogenics trams of lisboa, it seems there is as much trams as people in lisboa, or at least on this picture ... one each ;)
Yours is the red or the yellow ?

I like a lot what you did here! You did very well to desaturate partially the picture, because this way the various coloured coaches are enhanced greatly.
Excellent shot and great idea for the pp work. Really elegant and of a nice effect. Very well done!

The tram cars are so colourul I guess it was very tempting to go for the partial desaturation and IMO it works very well.

me not being a particular fan of the selective pp i find this tram jam thing being very creative and in fact very attractive for this visual game of colours while the surrounding remains "unimportant" gray addition to this parade...

gosto da forma como trabalhaste com a desatura玢o de cores, colocando apenas em evid阠ia o colorido dos el閏tricos.
O contraste est� perfeito.
