Sighisoara Street, a photo from Mures, West

Photographer's Note

I really liked the composition of this shot but unfortunately the light wasn't with me and no amount of pp work could completely satisfy me, but I decided to post it anyway. In the bg is the hazy Church on the Hill, the 3rd largest church in Transylvania, visible from all over town at 429 metres elevation. I wasn't fussed on the impromptu carpark at the end of the street either, but that's a problem common all over Europe.

Hello Chris,
Despite what you stated about light condition at time taken this, I find the picture vivid, full of attractive colors - maybe any color that exist on nature...
View up the old paved alley added good sense of depth.

Hello Chris,
The light is okay and the street is very pretty. The church is a perfect focal point on top of the hill above the end of the street. Sighisoara is no doubt one of the nicest smaller towns on the Balkans.

The colours of the buildings show up well against the dark cobbles , and our gaze is led up to the church.

Hello Chris,

I see you are in the same place that Luis has been showing recently. I recognised the colourful houses, lining the cobbled streets.
The light looks fine, clearly revealing the details and the colours close by, whilst the church on the hill looks to be in a slight haze, just adding to the sense of depth.

The old cobblestone street do me thinking at a Flemish old village on 20 km of my home.
Nice perspective and depth picture

Lots of those Romanian colours that we've seen recently from Luis. A good urban photo looking up the hill towards the church.
And... I couldn't help myself so I did a WS on the hazy part, although there is nothing wrong with a hazy distant part of a photo.

Romanian houses are very colorful.
It's great to see that it's perfectly constructed on an alleyway with pebblestones.The atmosphere in the alley seems very comfortable.

sometimes a photo doesn't have to be technically perfect to convey the sentiment, your well chosen PoV makes up for the difficult light conditions.

we are following adramad reportage from this photogenic region and you add yet another point of view. There seems to ba so much to see there and these colorful houses are a great subject for photographers.
The weather didn't spoil you but even through the haze the view of the church in the centre is very impressive,

I'm not sure if we see here exactly the same street as Luis has presented recently.
But it is also a magnificent view of the quiet heart of Sighișoara.
The different colours of the houses, the cobblestones and the church on top of the green hill provide a top class picturesque photo.
Excellent depth and sharpness.

a nice sample of the urban landscape with these colorful fa鏰des and the church up there. here we usually avoid to let cars parked outside at night, can be dangerous.

Hello Chris,
By looking at the map of the photographed countries you visited many of them except South America.
I found it to be a very interesting photo, although your note shows that you are not completely satisfied. Nice cobblestone street with colorful houses on each side and a church on the hill at the end.
