Turnul Steingasser

This is another photo from the town of Mediaş and in fact taken in the same street as the reflections I posted about a week ago. Some of the houses in this photo were the reflected ones in that one as well. The gate is Steingasser Tower (Turnul Steingasser), one of the medieval towers of the city, whose name also shows the Transylvanian Saxon heritage of Mediaş.

Hello Lars,
What I saw first is the painted houses matching each to the house across on the other side of the street: pink vs. pink and peach-yellow to the same across. Though, diff. architecture design of every one of them. The whitetower and the road bellow is a prominent object to the far side.
Altogether a fine photos, as always.

excellent this view with the tower dominating the street. nice samples of architecture in the houses whose roofs looks like the ones we had here when I was a little boy, unfortunately our historic houses in timber were lost forever.

Lite folktomt, men en fin gata med det imponerande tornet som fr鋗sta blickf錸g. Det var ju l鋞t att hitta de hus som fanns i spegelbilden. Jag tycker om de pastellf鋜gade fasaderna och det fina djupet i bilden.

Hi Lars,
This feels like a lovely trip around Romania with also charming smaller towns visited. Here the light was slightly dissipated probably due to a thin layer of clouds, this had further enhance the pastel colors of the houses.
The tower has a nice style, one which I start slowly to recognize as typical for this area.
Beautiful postcard-like presentation, exactly as I like it,

Hello Lars, I looked yesterday at my photos from the Ronia trip ten years ago and I saw that I had many pictures from Medias. I visited so many places in Romania that I just forgot where I was.

Surprising places that you are visiting, outside the conventional routes, I suppose that you go with a car at your own pace, it is the best way to travel.
This place in fantastic, pretty street topped by the sensational gate-tower.
A magnificent color that gives a lot of chromatic richness to the image.
