Photographer's Note
This is the Hungarian - Slovak border on the Maria Valeria Bridge.
It was the last Danube bridge destroyed by the Germans in W.W.II to be rebuilt. Before the reconstruction it was possible to cross the river only by ferry or by a roundabout route that took a very long time. The bridge was rebuilt in 2001 that made the crossing easier between Esztergom in Hungary and Parkany (Sturovo)in Slovakia.
