Another photo from our walk around Lake Bled in 2006. This time a postcardy one of Bled's spectacularly situated castle. The castle appears in lots of TE photos but I don't think from this angle.

Best in the large view.

It is a very beautifull castle among the jungle

It is very dense forest..

I think climbing up is hard but its so nice to see the view from top of castle :)

A very nice postcard. The many green tones dominate, so the red roofs really look like the cherry on the cake.

This view must still be strong in your memory, despite the time lapse, for it is a stunning view!
The tall, rugged cliffs, with their lower covering of eclectic greenery, make a thrilling approach to the focal castle, dominating the peak, like a predatory bird!

Hi Ian,
indeed I think I see it for the first time from this great angle even though I was able to recognize this place from other photos.
Excellent capture and your whole reportage is a bit sad for me because they cancel my flights to North Croatia/Slovenia as I already mentioned.
This is such a photogenic place, may be some other time!
I suppose I should rather look at the bright side that I survived the pandemic so far and I can enjoy the place in your reportage,

Hi Ian

This is a very good closer view of the mediaeval Bled Castle. Good colour, sharpness and framing. I would have liked the weather to remain just like this on day 2. Instead it turned cloudy and overcast so I did not walk up there. Tfs!
