Crossing the Pyrenees, a photo from Barcelona, Catalonia

Photographer's Note

This shot has been taken just a few seconds before leaving Spain and entering in France. We were flying back home after a very nice NewYaer trip in the city of Barcelona!

This shot has been taken from a plane window and its original version was foggy and had not so much colors.
I've tried to made made some changing on the picture, this time using ACDSee instead of PS. Using the 'Automatic Layer' functionality (an erudite mix of brightness, contrasts and gama I think), the shot become as it is. It was really unexpected and I never thought the colors would come out so good in comparison to the original one, and I wanted to share it on TE!

Vu la lumi鑢e, j'aurais dit que la photo avait 閠� prise le matin...mais en d閏ollant � 16h30, ca change la donne :-p

Well done Alexis. I use to cross the pyrenees because I'm living in London but I'm from barcelona. This is a good shot because the windows everytime have things and it's difficult to take pics...

Ca y est ? Tu es passe a l'auto-level ? ;-)

Par contre, je me demande si il aurait pas fallu mettre un coup d'exposition pour faire resortir la neige et retirer un peu de bleu.
Bon, je viens d'essayer rapidement et ca passe pas... Tant pis.

j'aime beaucoup cette photo qui donne l'impression d'aplatir les montagnes.
En plus il n'y apas de reflets de la vitre de l'avion. Bref top !

A very impressive view. The mountains are stunning! Great colors and details. I particularly like the diagonal made by the mountains and the clouds at the top.

This is a spectacular shot, and you did an excellent restoration job, as it is so clear. The clouds enevloping the mountains at the top give it a an aura of mystery and charm. Regards.
