At the local flea market, a photo from Sodermanland, Svealand

Photographer's Note

This is a typical nothing special photo I just snapped because I had nothing better to do. I had just left my home on S鰀ermalm island to go for a walk when I found this flea market in a park a few blocks away.

I took a few photos, but the only one I decided would qualify for TE was this. A little boy had found something interesting at this stall selling toys. I think his mother waited patiently for him to lose interest.

A few weeks later I had another look at this flea market which seems to be open every Sunday afternoon during the summer. A photo from my second visit is in the WS.

"Nothing special"... every picture has its own speciallity, we see here a summer daily life happening, wonderfully presented.
People, dog, toy, clothes and food, a photo full of life, IMHO.

lep pogled i trenutak, dobar tekst ...
Volim buvlje pijace, uvek se nadje nesto interesantno, ja volim foto opremu.
Lepa scena na buvljoj pijaci, dobro pokazano sa lepim bojama, kontrastom i uhvacenim trenutkom.
Dobar rad sa lepom fotografijom u radionici.

Hello Gert, two 憂othing special� pictures? Yet there are a lot of details to enjoy.
I like the way that the dog in the woman抯 arms is looking away, maybe there is some food nearby. Perfect timing as the boy touches the toy.
I like the workshop shot too, what a mixture of items for sale. ( We might call this a 憌hite elephant� stall, where there is an unusual mix of objects on offer.)

Vi f錼 et meget godt indtryk af loppemarkedet her og du fangede moren, hunden og drengen meget godt, lige da sidstn鎣nte fandt noget blandt det farverigt leget鴍. Parken dannede en fin baggrund.

the boy and the mother interacting are marvelous in this scene. I liked the objects and as they can be bought again, children usually lost interest in their toys after some time. the paintings of WS have something interesting to show, but it is art for decoration, maybe the artist had something better kept for himself.
I guess many artists paint fast paintings and sell them to hotels and in such markets for a cheap price, only to survive while the success don't occur or use art as a trash job.

Hi Gert,two interesting photos from this weekly flea market that you too have met almost by chance, I don't think there are any things that might interest you, I see a lot of junk and terrible paintings .. ehhee .. anyway it is a sign of the economic crisis, if the market is standing because someone buys .... excellent quality as always. In Turkish, it's a louse market (bit pazarı), same idea. A nice, colorful frame. I like the pooch being carried and the child's interest in that toy. What is behind the man's head that has blown out that region of the frame?

A colourful flea market specialising in children's toys. Good sharpness and I like the compo with the bric-a-brac zig zagging diagonally across the frame. The cute puppy doesn't hurt either. Tfs!

Hello Gert,
The flea market is held in a beautiful, quiet and above all green environment.
Maybe not really interesting to buy anything. Rather to watch people and take some pictures.
In the photo in the WS I notice that old shoes have already been put at te stall to possibly throw
at the paintings :)

Hej Gert,
Very nice daily life moment. The "head and shoulders" doll is a special item. I also like the puppy and the popcorn machine. Trees give nice shade.
