Photographer's Note

This is the playground outside my house on S鰀ermalm island, Stockholm. I was on my way to do some shopping, and since it was a sunny day I had brought my camera, just in case of a photo opportunity.

That opportunity appeared already 20 meters after I had stepped into the street. I couldn't resist the perfect sun shining on the small children in their bright vests playing near the colourful mural.

I live on the top floor of the house to the right, where I have the only windows on this side, facing south. The mural was given to our housing cooperative by the city in 2017 as an attempt to dissuade the vandals that damaged the wall with ugly graffiti.

The experiment has been very successful. We have had no problems in these five years, so the vandals seem to respect a professional painting.

Hi Gert

This wall is much nicer than any tagged graffiti and it's great it's survived 5 years with no appreciable damage or vandalism. The children are almost as colourfully dressed as the wall! Tfs!

Hello Gert, the bright colours 'jump out' of the screen; what a delightful mural, it is beautifully painted.
The bright colours mirrored by the children in their colourful clothes and bibs.
It sounds like a very successful experiment in curtailing graffiti.

nice mural with decorative aspect. the children are lovely dressed in colors too. nice views of the girl creating graphism with the shadows in WS.
in my next photos I will post one with those ugly grafities as a theme, interacting with the commercial images of a fa鏰de, in the big brazilian cities this type of vandalism is ever present.

You can't take photos if you don't have a camera with you.
By the outfits it looks like the children are from a pre-school or play group.
3 good photos and I do like the shadow ones in the WS. A great looking anti graffiti mural.

Similar theme as in my photo but you are much more successful. I remember this mural by Amara Por Dios from your previous posts. I follow her also on Instagram. Funny how many children are in this small sand box. They have the same green blue jackets so they are probably from the kindrgarten.
Nice lilac tree. My lilacs have overblown already.

Colourful mural is certainly much better than ugly graffiti tags. Visual appearance of the mural is quite pleasing though I can't really figure out the theme. It is nice to see that the group of children share more or less the same colours that are on the wall.

You may not have been taking part in festivities but this is a very colourful scene, portraying people taking part in enjoyable activities. As always, nicely composed, to encourage viewers to explore the entire scene.

The great chromaticism of the graffiti is spectacular, which together with the vividness of the children's colors, results in a very lively image, the two WS playing with the effect of shadows are equally stupendous.
Very nice composition which together with good sharpness and optimal lighting, gives great quality to the image.

That colorful mural really makes the scene. It's nice to see the children out playing on a sunny spring day. Hopefully you don;t hear much noise from the playground below when you're at home. this is a nice daily life scene. Take care!

Hello Gert,
The children are dressed very colourfully. But with such beautiful murals, the children are less conspicuous.
Still, I notice a small spiderman.
The young mothers have not adapted their clothes to the children or to the environment.
