Hello,

Aujourd'hui, je poste une image qui n'est pas vraiment un paysage ou un 閘閙ent d'architecture. Cela change un peu de mes habitudes.

Lors d'un meeting a閞ien, j'ai pu prendre cette photographie !
Trois Topolino post閑 devant un superbe Lockheed 12A !

La Fiat 500 de la premi鑢e g閚閞ation, surnomm閑 Topolino, est sans aucun doute l'une des automobiles italiennes les plus connues et remarquables.
L'id閑 premi鑢e de cette petite voiture vient du "Duce", Musollini, en 1930 qui voulait que le peuple italien soit motoris� par une voiture coutant moins de 5000 lires.
L'id閑 fut ensuite reprise par Hitler qui donna l'ordre � Ferdinand Porsche de cr閑r une voiture de moins de 1000 marks ! Ainsi 閠ait n� la VW Coccinelle !
Ces trois voitures restaur閑s avec soins en sont de beaux exemplaires !

Ce splendide avion est quant � lui un Lockheed 12A.
Il s'agit d'un bi-moteurs de 6 places dont le premier vol eu lieu en juin 1936.
Il est 閝uip� de 2 moteurs Pratt & Whitney R 985 de 450 ch pour une vitesse de croisi鑢e de 343 km/h et une autonomie de 1290 km.
Ce mod鑜e n'a jamais 閠� restaur� ! Il est enti鑢ement d'origine !

Cette photographie a 閠� prise sur le terrain d'aviation d'Ecuvillens pr鑣 de Fribourg !

Hello,

Today, I post an image which is not really a landscape or an element of architecture. That changes a little my practices.

At the time of an air meeting, I could take this photography !

Three Topolino posted in front of superb Lockheed 12A!

The FIAT 500 of the first generation, called Topolino, is without any doubt one of the most known and remarkable Italian cars.
The idea first of this small car comes from the "Duce", Musollini, into 1930 which wanted that the Italian people are motorized by a car of less than 5000 liras.
The idea was then taken up by Hitler which gave the order to Ferdinand Porsche to create a car of less than 1000 marks ! That was the VW K鋐er !
These three cars restored carefully are beautiful specimens !

This splendid plane is a Lockheed 12A.
That is a bimotor of 6 places of which first flight take place in June 1936.
It is been driven by 2 Pratt engines & Whitney R 985 of 450 CH for a cruising speed of 343 km/h and an autonomy of 1290 km.
This model was never restored! It is entirely of origin!

This photography was taken on the airfield of Ecuvillens close to Freiburg !

belle photo, ces anciens mod鑜es ont vraiment une belle esth閠ique, bel angle pour nous les montrer, la note est int閞essante, bien jou�, sauf pour l'ajout du d間rad� orang� qui est franchement bizarre !

This is a great composition with very good colours and clarity...I lode the way the cars and the plane has been placed in the shot..for the thumbnail it alomost looked like the aircraft is on those cars..!!

LOL juste apres la Simca de Nikki, la Fiat de Dominique, je prends un sacre coup de vieux aujourd'hui en commentant les photos ;-)
C'est bien que tu as precise qu'il s'agit de la premiere generation car moi en ce qui concerne la Topolino je me represente la generation suivante, celle qui arpentait les routes quand j'etais gamin... donc j'ai appris qqch avec ta photo ! Joli PP vintage !

c'est certainement la seule id閑 interessante qu'a eu mussolini de faire construire cette voiture du peuple, la restauration de ces voitures est magnifique, photo et note dans l'esprit TE.

Hi Dominique,
The quality of those cars are amazing after all those years, just as the plane is. It must now be of high value looking that good, the owners can be proud of it.
Your photo gives a nice view on the old heritage,a lthough that orange gradient looks a bit strange, it does not really bothers me...

Hi Dominique,

That is a great shot of four oldtimers + a very nice note!! Haha, yes the Duce and Hitler, interesting to see how one based his ideas on admiration of the other and the other on hate the other way around. Well, the result is some nice Beatles and a long list of unfortunate events in which Europe got stuck for quite some time.
But 4 wonderful pieces of old technology from before that time. I think that period in history developed such a technology drive that it became about more efficiency but not that much on style anymore. And these 4 are perfect style examples of before that time! Nice one!

D'abord les sujets sont originaux, un tel rassemblement n'est pas banal de nos jours.
Ensuite ton PP, de grande ampleur au niveau du ciel, fontionne bien avec cette image.

Dominique, j'aime beaucoup cette r閠rospective avec ces trois Fiat bien restaur閑s et ce sp閏imen de Lockeed de 1936 bien en avance sur son 閜oque. J'aime le rendu des carrosseries et du fuselage. Du beau travail.

une photo pleine de panache.
La photo est techniquement au top et cette petite bande orang閑 au dessus accentue vraiment le r閠ro.
Tout blinque, ces petites voitures qui ont vraiment un 鈓e que celles de nos jours n'ont plus.
J'adore cette compo.

I don't think there is a single thing on the photo to give away the date it was taken, unless somse of the reflections give the game away. The sideways composition works well. All are very well preserved. Interesting note too.

An unusual shot that could be out of a movie scene. I like the placement of the airplane in relation to the vintage vehicles. The sepia strip at the top of the frame gives this a real heritage look. A very fine and original shot.

Hoi Dominique! I have just landed in Yverdon yesterday (in a Piper) and the guy responsible for the ground told us that he was once the "commander" of the Ecuvillens Airfield. Excellent photo, I love that you gave these old timers an antique look by adding this red "stuff" up there ... excellent idea, it would never cross my mind but there is some learning effect going on :) Take care, have a great Sunday, Barbara.
