Photographer's Note

Although I made a whole series of photos in Geneva (French: Gen鑦e, Arpitan: Gen鑦a, German: Genf, Italian: Ginevra, Romansh: Genevra) I was very disappointed in all of them, so I showed here previously just one photo to mark this place on my TE map. Now to diversify my gallery I share another one.

Looking at my photos it seems I must have been fascinated with the Grand Theatre of Geneva (Grand Th殁tre de Gen鑦e) but it seems all my photos were focused on fragments of the structure, they all have very tight frames and/or unacceptable distortions. Nevertheless, I decided to pick one of them to share.

A good close-up photo of the classical architecture of the fa鏰de of the theatre. The details are pleasant and clear and I like the symmetry of the photo. You also had a lovely sunlight. Well done.

Hello Mariusz,

Sometimes, I think you may be too critical of yourself.
This photograph appears to have been taken to show the symmetry of the theatre entrance, with emphasis on the statues and carvings that decorate it. In that respect, it is a fine success! The light is lovely, the details clear and sharp.

I suppose I didn't see this building in my short trip across the town in 1987. nice details and adornments in an image with an excellent quality.

A fine upward pov with good sharpness and symmetry. The neoclassical Greco Roman columns with their Corinthian capitals look very imposing. Tfs!

Hello Mariusz,
The Turkish name for Geneva (Cenevre) must have come from Italian or Romansh, since those are the only names for the city with an r. This is a very elegant facade.
