I don't mean to capitalize on the suffering of others.
So no smileys, please!

How can the Russian army believe that a military victory and a change of regime in the country can suppress the Ukrainian people's desire for freedom?
Ukrainians will cherish their 2014 Revolution of Dignity more than ever and continue to work for peace and freedom.

My three photos were taken in 2017 and show beautiful Kiev in better days.
At the time of writing, Russian troops have advanced into the outskirts of the city. Unbelievable how a nation wants to kill a brother nation.

Hello Paul,
This is such a beautiful photo that it's a great shame that I can't give it a smiley. I wonder if the Russian army really believes in what it is doing right now. My greatest hope is that the Russian regime will implode when enough persons in top positions realize that the war will bring disaster to their own country.

Hi Paul,
You are lucky you were able to see the Kiyv before the war. The question is: will it be the same? Will it be a part of the Soviet Puppet State?
I cross my fingers for its independence and freedom!
As a person who grew up in the Communist regime, which I remember, I choose the Western values, I choose freedom, independence and as you say people should have the right to decide about their future!
Great capture with two couples adding a romantic touch!

Thank you for sharing these, Paul.
We all feel shocked by the actions of the Russian Army (not necessarily the people) on this peaceful, forward looking nation!
It is hard to watch the news; the citizens are being unbelievably brave in the face of such atrocities yet the loss of life, even children, is already being reported!

De grote vraag is uiteraard hoe Poetin denkt zo'n groot land denkt te kunnen controleren, waarvan verreweg de meeste inwoners niets van hem moeten hebben, maar in 2014 al duidelijk hebben aangegeven een andere toekomst voor hun land te zien. Een prachtige foto van Kiev onder een schitterende avondlucht in de kleuren van de Oekra飁nse vlag.

Another great set to express thoughts and feelings about this mindless invasion. It's heartbreaking to think what is happening in the people in the photo and that Kyiv may be soon ruined by Russian bombs.
I wish I could post a tribute too, but unfortunatelly my plans to go back home for a short break didn't work and I'm stuck without practically any photos.
