Photographer's Note

This Svyato-Vvedenska (devoted to the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary) was built recently at northern outskirts of Yuzhne (Southern), a seaside city (since 1993) near the Hrihorivskiy (or Adzhalikskiy) Estuary, where in 1970s a big industrial and transportation zone was founded. The city was to house the builders and workers of this zone, which now includes the Southern Port (this port, Odessa抯 and Illichivsk抯 ones are the three Ukraine抯 biggest ports) and big chemical plant built at the port (see my TE post Early Morning in the Southern Port.

Now the population of Yuzhne is 26,000. In the city there are at least four religious buildings of the following confessions:
Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Moscow Patriarchate (their church is shown in the picture);
Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Kyivan Patriarchate;
Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church and
Christian Baptists.
