The first step of my summer 2016 solo bike travel was from Kharkiv to Lubni, both cities being strictly on the 50th parallel north. Thus, my route in Kharkiv ran through the largest in Ukraine Barabashov Market and St. Peter and St. Paul's Church. The parallel leaded me from the church along the rapid ascent of Trufanov Street where I had never been before. Almost on the top, I saw this house (Elbrus Lane, 1) with inscriptions on its retaining wall exposed to the south. After reading the text written both horizontally and vertically, I realized that it is not only a decorative element, but also a literary work titled 揂utumn Diary�. I believe, such a style can be named as 揝tream of consciousness� .

The following is the first part (approximately 10% of the whole text) of the diary and my humble translation of it:

Проходит еще один день, к этому можно привыкнуть. Писал это Гамлет.
�Осенний дневник�
Некуда идти. Что-то похожее чувствовал в забытом сне.
Осень, зима и лето. И, конечно, весна. Когда уходит тепло, свет и приходит вечерняя прохлада, проскальзывает желтый и деревья бесцеремонно обнажают свои ветви и возраст ... ничего не бойся. Даже времени не стоит бояться. Иногда, даже всегда, нужно и можно быть человеком. Чего бы нам это не стоило.

When heat and light go away and cool evening comes, the yellow slips and trees unceremoniously expose their branches and age ... be game for anything. Even, it is not worth being afraid of time. Sometimes or even always, it is necessary and possible for you to be a human. Whatever it takes.

Hello Sergiy,
This gradually gets more interesting than the first glimpse would indicate. It is obviously a very elegantly designed villa, very far from anything mass produced, but I only noted the inscriptions on the wall after looking at the large version. Of course I had no idea of the message. Considering the movie shot here, this must be a
famous building, not just one you saw by coincidence. The photo is fairly straightforward, but it is perfectly exposed and the building is quite beautiful. Along with the note and the video it has become a very interesting contribution to TE.

very interesting picture, and how fantastic that you post also the link with the singer in front of this house. Elegant villa hidden behind a high wall. One can wonder who is living there. But the wall with inscription is fascinating here. It looks like big crossword, with vertical and horizontal words creating interesting pattern. Funny to read it (I don't need translation :)), but the farther part is difficult to see. I have tried to find this house in Google map but unfortunately, there is only Trufanov street.
