Photographer's Note

I visited Ukraine in 2003, it's still analog times for me.
I searched the archive and found some unpublished photos. These are scans from the positives.
I think the city of Lviv is worth mentioning these days.
I hope this beautiful city will survive these difficult times unscathed.
How could such a culturally interesting city be destroyed?
I think Russia will stop the war.

Freedom for Ukraine!

The photo shows Lviv National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater , formerly the City Theater, in the interwar period, the Grand Theater - a theater in Lviv designed by prof. Zygmunt Gorgolewski. It is not only a work of architectural art, but also sculpture and painting. It represents eclecticism in art.
Built in 1897-1900.

We are all searching our archives and our hearts to express our support for the people of Ukraine, who are being being undeservedly attacked by the bully Putin!

What he is doing is threatening the whole stability of the world, for what! For control of people who do not need controlling!

Let's hope that pressure from other nations will have an effect on Putin's war desires!

Your historic photograph shows Lviv in calmer times!

I've also posted a picture of the theatre in Lviv (but in a WS).
Your photo here shows that the times were much better then.
Let us hope that the negotiations talks are yielding something positive and that the Russian army will return home very soon.

Mam calkiem podobne zdjecie w kolekcji.
Mam nadzieje ze Lwow chociaz zostawia w spokoju!
Musimy tam kiedys wrocic zeby wesprzec branze turystyczna jak tylko sie wojna skonczy. Ja zreszta nie bylem jeszcze w Kijowie...
No nic mysle o biednych Ukraincach, Putina powinien ktos odstrzelic...

Wonderful photo of this city that I did not know and that thanks to the report of "mkamionka" I enjoyed and admired its beauties, what sad times we live with this terrible war, imposed by that miserable murderer.
I've been traveling for 8 days and I didn't watch TV. in the Emirates, I came back yesterday and I am already horrified by the images on TV.
A color is magnificent, good light and sharpness, in this scanned photo.
