Photographer's Note

I visited Ukraine in 2003, it's still analog times for me.
I searched the archive and found some unpublished photos. These are scans from the positives.
I think the city of Lviv is worth mentioning these days.
I hope this beautiful city will survive these difficult times unscathed.
How could such a culturally interesting city be destroyed?
I think Russia will stop the war.

Freedom for Ukraine!

The photo shows the Lychakiv Cemetery is a historic cemetery in Lviv.(1786)
It is an "art gallery" tombs make impression.
Many famous personalities are buried here.

Witaj Krzysztof,

This is a photograph depicting such a quiet, calm location. The reclining statue praying and surrounded by other tombs, with a b/g of natural vegetation and twinkling sunlight.
We all wish this situation was still occurring, though we know it is very different now!
Like you, I continue to wish for Freedom for Ukraine.

Czesc Krzysztof,
Ale niespodzianka, oboje wkleilismy cos z Cmentarza Lyczakowskiego. Ja tak naprawde te lesze zdjecia juz wkelilem ale staram sie cos wybrac bedac w temacie wojny...
Cmentarz niestety jak najbardziej pasuje na te okazje. Ten grobowoec rowniez mam sfotofgrafowany.
Piekne zdjecia i wspomnienia ale oczywiscie cyforwa jakosc jest nie do przebicia. Dzis podobno zaczeli bombardowac Wolyn, na razie raczej polnocny zachod, pewnie chca odciac dostep do Polki. Mam nadzieje ze nie zbombarduja Lwowa...

Hi Krzysztof,

The fence and the trees are framing well this section of the cemetery. The point of view is showing the details of the tombstones. The light is giving nice tints to the colors of the picture. Have a nice day.

Hello Krzysztof, there are some very elaborate tombs here, and you selected this particular one as the focal point, and quite rightly so.
I like the background of trees with their multi-coloured leaves.

Both from your photos and from those of our friend Mariusz "mkamionka", I see that Lviv is a city full of art, even its cemetery is wonderful, with large pantheons of famous people, this is a great composition.
Magnificent color, both lighting and sharpness are perfect.
