Photographer's Note
The yew trees beautifully cut to the same size and shape remind me of skittles waiting to be bowled over!
The building that you see a part of is Lanhydrock House.
The gardens were immaculate and I am sure that they still are.
In the middle distance you can see the road that I showed in yesterday's shot.
One more view of the garden in the w/s.
Thank you as always for looking, it is much appreciated.

Hi Jean,I recognize very well the trees cut in this original way that I saw in your penultimate post with the photo from above. Two beautiful compositions from the gardens that show the care and order from this fantastic old palace! Have a nice evening and thanks,Luciano

Hello Jean,
I am not sure of the function of the grey things in the foreground, but they correspond well with the carefully cut trees. Personally I am more fond of naturally grown trees like those in the distance, but I am not the owner of a great mansion or private palace. I admit everything looks very neat and orderly. The colours turned out well in spite of the cloudy day.
Best regards,
Gert

Hi Jean
I take it that you didn't have a big enough ball to knock them down. A good 2 photos of this extremely manicured setting. Just imagine how much effort (and $, sorry £) goes into its maintenance.
cheers

Hi Jean
Lovely scene, looks like a beautiful garden, lots of green and nicely framed and balanced by the classic building. It gives an appealing invitation to explore all the detail around, good perspective, bright and clear with nice depth. Well done capture

Hello Jean,
I first thought you were comparing the stone features to the skittles but, maybe they are more like pawns!
The yew trees remind me very much of the trees in the garden of Chirk Castle. These in Lanhydrock House Gardens will have their height controlled by this type of cutting and the gardeners will be able to maintain similar heights in all the trees.
It does look like a beautiful, very well maintained garden, with neat edges and intricate patterns.
I am a little envious, it is the complete opposite to my garden!
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hello Jean,
This garden is so well-manicured; it seems that not a blade of grass or flower petal is out of place. Nice inclusion of the stone objects in the foreground, and the house on the right. Here in the U.S., we only use the word skittles to describe the candy of the same name, so I was expecting to see something that looked like candy when I opened your photo! :-)

Hi Jean,
very elegant and so well maintained garden.
You are right the trees are perfectly trimmed into an unexpected shape. I planted several conifer trees in my garden but after a year they are nowhere near a need for trimming yet...
Very well done,
M
