Photographer's Note
Back in the UK after a brief series of pictures from Italy.
A grey and cold day here, so bright sunshine and a blue sky are what I needed to remind me of summer days!
This is Cotehele, the ancestral home to the Edgecumbe family for centuries. The Tudor house is perched high above the River Tamar.
It is one of the least altered of Tudor houses in the U.K.
It is decorated with tapestries, arms and armour, pewter, brass and old oak furniture.
Well worth a visit if you are ever in the area.
Two more shots in the w/s.
Thanks for looking.

Hello Jean,
The gravel path leads my eyes all the way to the couple who also came to see this magnificent house and garden on that sunny day. We get a good side view of the building, and although we see it from the front in the WS I prefer this view which gives us a better idea of its size and shows a bit more of the garden. The other WS shows us a large part of the garden but very little of the building... ;-) The three photos are all perfectly sharp and well exposed, and I understand it wasn't easy to select one for the main post, but I think you made the right choice.
Best regards,
Gert

Hello Jean,
Such a great photo of this old Tudor mansion, you show it from a great angle with also a perfect sunlight. I like the dark leaves in the foreground, which create a nice contrast.

Hi Jean,The gardens I see in the WS are really beautiful, very very rich in species and colors. And also the Tudor residence has a lot of charm, you show us both sides in an excellent way, it's nice to know it's one of the best preserved, top photographic quality as always! Have a nice evening and thanks,Luciano

Hi Jean
Classic image of British historic treasures. Currently spending a lot of time away from my UK home I really miss this kind of views!
So well photographed with lovely light, best possible direction of sunlight and the beautiful frame made of silhouetted tree leaves at the top.
Best wishes
Kasia

Hi Jean,
It looks amazing in this weather with the blue sky and all colors so well pronounced. If the weather was reliable in the UK I would probably visit all the interesting places already.
Great series of photos, the workshop photos show it from a different angle.
Excellent reportage,
M
