Photographer's Note

"A folly is a costly ornamental building with no practical purpose, especially a tower or mock Gothic ruin, built in a garden or park."

This is the Prospect Tower, a 3 sided folly that is 60feet, (approx.20m)high.
It was built by the 2nd Earl of Mount Edgcumbe in celebration of the royal visit by King George III.
