Photographer's Note
The house at Scotney Castle near Lamberhurst in the county of Kent, England. This mansion was built between 1835 and 1843 to replace the old medieval castle that sits in the grounds and is an early example of Tudor revival architectural style in 19th century Britain.

Good Morning Brian - Three attractive bands of colour and the shadows balanced by the fringe of leaves are the basis of a well considered composition. As always with your work the details are excellently presented and here the architecture is shown to advantage. I am fascinated by the little white tower, it strikes me as being quite an unusual feature of the property!
Have a great Sunday

Hello Brian,
I never managed to get close to the house, so this is very interesting to see. The light is ideal to bring out the colours and detail in the most attractive façade. The clear blue sky makes a fine contrasting backdrop. I like also the shadow play offered by the foreground trees. Have a great Sunday.

Hi Brian,
A piece of typical british architecture. Nice POV with the tree as a natural frame for the picture. Very beautiful light, good colours and contrast, excellent sharpness.
Have a nice sunday,

Hi Brian
beautiful vibrant colors on a fantastic example of the very thing that got me into photography, fine rambling old mansions and castles. This is a fine place and I really like that you included the part of the tree in the upper part of the scene. Lovely place and shot
cheers

Ciao Brian
Ciao e buona domenica
Romano

Hello Brian
This is a stately manor indeed, bathed in a glorious warm light that makes it very attractive. The play of shadows and sun on the grass in front is very attractive too.
have a great sunday

Hi Brian
Stately homes of Kent are such a great subject for photography. The light is very beautiful here, creating a feeling of peace and tranquility.
I like the way you framed the image with silhouetted oak (it is oak, isn't it?) leaves at the top and the tree shadows at the bottom.
Enjoy your Sunday evening

Hey there ya' dirty dog,
Now that a new day/week is upon you, I hope your nads are still in tact after a ferocious heat wave. :) I would kill for those temps about now...well, make that for about the next 6 months anyway.
I hope you take this as the compliment it's intended to be, but when I first noticed this picture, I thought it was one of Noels. Quite a stately manor, and something that's right up his alley. Effective use of the branches hanging from the top of the frame, I like how they fill some of the open space in the sky and help to create added depth. From this straight forward point of view, it looks like all of the Tetris pieces fell right into their proper spots! :)
Wonderfully exposed to make out the sharp detail and overall elegant nature of the mansion and grounds. Like it a lot! Have a good one mate. All the best.
Cheers from the hot box,
Jason

Bonsoir Brian

Hello Brian
Punchy light contrast and perfect density levels with both shadows and highlights illustrated to their optimum display. Good color saturation too and the yellow red castle walls (although it looks more like a large manor or estate) contrast well against the blue sky. Tfs!
