Photographer's Note
Hello Everyone,
These sheep look so calm and curious, quite surprising as they are usually alert, agitated and quite suspicious if people approach them.
I was walking through the field gate onto the footpath, into the field, where I suspect they were heading. Rather than freak and turn away, they just waited patiently, even when I stopped to photograph them!!
I waited until they had passed me and then took a sneaky photograph of them grazing, which is my w/s photograph.
Thanks for your interest,
Bev :-)

Hello Bev,
Maybe they were smart enough to see the difference between a harmless camera and a gun, or they were too preoccupied with thinking of the fresh green grass in the next field. The WS might be considered a better composition (diagonals, better light), but this has the advantage of showing the sheep facing you, and with the nice scenery in the background.
Kind regards,
Gert

Good evening Beverley,
A nice encounter on the slope, near home.
There was a great view downhill towards the village houses in the trough with many tones of green around.
My best regards,
Ike

Hello Bev,
Also in my area are many sheep.
My experience is that they are getting closer and closer to what I don't want for a photo.
But here sheep and horses are frequented by children and these animals are waiting for a sweet so they are not stuffy but spoiled.
A lovely panorama view with village in valley.
An excellent composition, very sharp and clear presentation.
Colours are soft and pleasant.
Very well done, TFS.
Kindest regards,
John

Hello Beverley, I like the way that some of the sheep are looking at you. They do indeed seem quite unworried by you proximity.
Lovely Pennine countryside with the green fields and the stone buildings.
Kind regards, Jean.

Hi Bev,
The wideness of the area is giving depth to the composition. The point of view is showing the details of the sheeps and of the buildings. It is clear and sharp. Have a nice day.

Hello Beverley,
Very nice and sympathetic picture with the sheep coming up the hill and some of them that are already right in front of the camera.
At the same time we also see part of the surrounding landscape.
In the WS we see that you had a very beautiful weather then.
Best regards, Paul

bev
this photo made me remember the famous UK sign: Keep calm and go graze. haha.
very beautiful the wide rural landscape with the animals in FG interacting with you. the WS is nice too. my father has had some troubles in his farm because some pumas are killing the sheep, even at day light.
take care

Hello, Bev, I like sheep. They look so nice. But they seem to be quite fat, or maybe they have a think fur for winter. Lovely landscape, with the sun it seems like the beginning of spring.

Dear Beverley,
They live in the country-side among calm conditions and have no reason to fear humans, I guess. Anyhow, they look very cute and neat. The WS is good, maybe even better than the main photo.
Best Wishes,
Gy.

Hi Bev,
Quite a charming scene with the sheep clearly enjoying your company.
The light was great although it was not easy to avoid your own shadow.
Excellent work,

Hello Beverly,
Oh yes, sheep always look so innocent. They all came to say "Hi" to you.
