Photographer's Note
Hello Everyone,
This little guy was having an individual feast of nuts.
Of course, it is a robin, my favourite little garden bird.
You can see his bright red breast, although it could have been her bright red breast as the male and females look alike.
However, the young robins have plumage nothing like the adults; they are very well camouflaged.
See my w/s to observe a teenage robin!
My warm regards, Bev :-)

HI Bev,a guest of your garden surely lucky to have so much free food available without effort, the capture of the robin is excellent despite the distance and the difficult light. This year I have a blackbird that has made its nest in the square, I got used to it by giving it some chips that I put on the sidewalk outside the bar, and when there aren't any, it walks into the bar, looks at me and protests, it has become the mascot of my clients..ehehe .. and in fact the bird in the WS seems a young blackbird but i'm not sure. Have a nice evening and thanks,Luciano

Hello Bev,
At a quick glance I could have taken this for a chaffinch, which used to be my favourite local bird in my childhood's countryside. I don't see them very often in the city. You captured this one with fine sharpness and colours from a good angle without disturbing its dinner. The young one in the WS is really very different, but that's also a good photo in rather odd surroundings.
Kind regards,
Gert

Hi Bev,
The bird is well placed in the frame. The point of view is showing the details of the Robin. The light is giving good colors output. Have a nice day.

Hello Beverley,
I seem to remember seeing the spotted plumage of a young robin in an earlier photo of yours. It is indeed remarkable that the young animals do not yet have red feathers.
The red plumes of the robin in your main photo extend all the way above and behind the eyes, which still happens, of course, but not always.
It apparently has a great choice of food on the food shelf.
The sweet bird has found a true feast.
Best regards, Paul

Hi Bev,
Yes I like robins too :)
There is one coming to my garden.
I don't this seeing that many robins when I was young in Poland but maybe I am just a better observer now, better trained to see birds.
Lovely capture,
M

bev
a nice double view of these birds so usual in UK, curious as the baby is so different of the adults, looks like another specie if we don't know. nice details of the animals.
take care

Dear Beverley,
I can understand why you call it your favourite garden bird. In Hungary they are rare visitors in gardens - except for harsh winters - and they are really spectacular. This photo is really well-taken. :)
Best Wishes,
Gy.

Lep pogled i trenutak, dobar tekst ...
Lepa ptica, dobro pokazana sa lepim bojama, kontrastom i ulovljenim trenutkom.
Dobar rad sa fotografijom u radionici.

Hi Bev.
How beautiful this little bird is, it has a nice plumage highlighting the red of the breast, it seems as if it was thinking of starting to eat that delicacy that you have provided, the other one that you show in the WS is so different that I would have thought it was not a robin , but your note explains it very well.
A magnificent range of colors, which gives an attractive color scheme.
Very good management of luminosity, as well as the sharpness of the image.
A good job, with which we enjoy. I love it.
Have a great day.
Very best regards.
Luis.
P.S. Well, after the pandemic I was anxious to travel again and I have taken advantage of these short eight-day trips.

Hello Beverley,
Another Robin to your collection of a charming bird.
It was so busy with the nuts, couldn't care who was looking at him...
Beautiful captured moment.
Have a nice new week,
Ike
*** There are several animals and birds in the Pelican reservation - but we saw only few egrets and many flying inscets, but no other's. Thanks.
