Photographer's Note
From the diverse platforms of observation placed in the plants 68 to 72, (the "Viewing Gallery") of the skyscraper The Shard, in London, the visitors can enjoy a fantastic panorama in a bird-view on the city.
I was there, where I took many photos, because the day was luminous and was offering a great visual radius. In this photo you can see in the foreground the 20 Fenchurch Street Building, nicknamed "Walkie Talkie", on the right side The Gherkin, and in background, a bit higher, The Leadenhall Building.
Though the glass of the front was creating some effect not wished by the photographers, I think that this sight deserved to be caught.
I hope you like.
This one is my last photo for a few days, because tomorrow I initiate a small trip across several places of Spain. See you soon.
Information Wikipedia:
The Shard, is a skyscraper constructed in Southwark's district in London. It is the highest skyscraper of United Kingdom and of the European Union. It is located in the same place where there was the buildings Southwark Towers, which were demolished in 2006.
The tower has 306 meters of height and 73 floors. The building, a work of the Italian architect Renzo Piano, has been designed by an irregular triangular form from the base up to the top part. It has been totally covered with glass. In the last plant there is a viewing-point and an a terrace of observation outdoors, opened to the visitors, when they pay 29,90 pounds, from February 1, 2013. The structure was completed in April, 2012, and opened the doors on public July 5, 2012.
The building is a property of the State of Qatar, that has spent 95 % of 450 million pounds that has cost the construction.

Hello Josep,
I think you have been captivated by the London skyline which used to be a historic tour but now, is a wonderful mix of old and new. I don't think I have ever seen the Walkie Talkie building so prominently displayed before! To me, it has a face, a sad face!
I really can't detect many distortions made by the glass. (Usually, if you keep your camera close to the glass the effects are minimal.)
Your elevated position has paid great dividends.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

London skyline had changed dramatically since our last visit in 08/1993, Josep.
An excellent take from a high point, distinct clarity on a misty day. Intriguing photo.
Bravo,
Ike

Hola Josep.
Bien hecho. Me gusta mucho

Ottimo pov, eccellente panoramica.

Hi Josep
You chose an excellent time of day. Looks great and very informative to us who are so distant. The little church steeple dwarfed by a high-rise that seems to resemble a ' walk-talkie - a modern surprise. What a contrast of scale and style captured from the best view in the City. Superb detail in depth too.
A stunning capture.
Best regards

Oi, Josep!
Ficou bom!

Hello Josep,
A superb mix of the old and the new in the heart of London. A splendid elevated pov and the walkie talkie building features prominently. Good sharpness and the salt shaker building at right looks like something from Abu Dhabi. Tfs!

Hola Josep,
indeed this is quite a view and worth to be captured.
I had the pleasure to be in London the same year as yourself but three months before you... we have almost met!!
Sadly my daughter got a bit sick so I could not go to the tower nor to some other places I wanted to visit on that trip... But I have a view of similar area taken from the ground HERE.
Fantastic panoramic view, I must revisit London to get there as well.
Great light with good depth which makes the buildings to feel three dimensional.
Excellent work,
M

Hola Josep,
Muchas gracias y buena semana.
Saludos cordiales.
Marie-Louise.

Hola, Josep!

Hi Josep
how could you NOT capture this scene right? haha, its A+
love the ugly tall Walkie Talkie, its so ugly its beautiful!
But all joking aside, I honestly DO like it...you have to give them credit at least for building something unique and different - better than boring and uninteresting. you did well with this over view shot. lots to seek out visually
cheers
