Photographer's Note
Hello Everyone,
My photographs focus upon the village of Reepham.
Dating back to just after the Norman conquest, Reepham has beautiful 18th century buildings lining pretty streets and alleys.
This is part of the market place, a conservation area, and holds a country market on Wednesday mornings, as well as frequent antiques fairs. The market was founded in 1277 when Sir John de Vaux obtained a charter from King Edward I.
I really liked the fact that there was such a variety of shops, trading from old, picturesque buildings. (No modern supermarkets in view here!) This was a farm shop selling mainly greengrocery products. There were plenty of products outside, so customers could browse in greater, environmental safety.
There was a strict emphasis on masks, in this village, notices on all shop windows. If you went in the cafe (as we did), you had to supply contact details in case a Covid link was found.
The building, just showing on the right, is another interesting building, which I will post more fully in the workshop.
Thanks for your interest, Bev :-)

Hello Bev,
Maybe after almost two hours I will be the first to comment this photo. That says a lot more about the activities on the site than about the photo, which shows a very nice building surrounded by brick houses that will probably also turn out to be worth a photo. I like the rather magnificent entrance of the farm shop and the local products displayed outside. You timed the photo well as a woman was stepping outside. One small detail that proves this to be a carefully taken photo is that you didn't cut off even an inch of the chimney. ;-)
Kind regards,
Gert

Hello Bev,
I don't know that you have a shop of fruits, through your name above (joke)
You show us a lovely picture with the square and nostalgia place, the lady is a nice addition.
With depth and perspective.
Excellent composition and nice of colours too.
Very well done, TFS.
Regards,
John.

Good evening Beverley,
Very easily I found the precise spot of this small lot in front of the Mort Pharmacy and the facade with the sundial. It is located at 52.763, 1.111 on the Google-Map. A virtual stroll showed that on the back to where you stood there is a large parking lot. Than I continued the tour around this typical rural English town, just 18km away from Norwich.
Interesting note about the characteristic you mentioned about life there.
My best regards,
Ike

Hello Beverley,
Such a lovely and charming view of this village, the shop in the white house in the narrow street looks so very English. The vegetable stalls in front of it make a great addition as well and also your timing was right when a customer just left the shop. Very well done.

nice these two big houses. I liked the architecture and the peaceful mood we can see here. these windows looks so wide. I presume they aren't so old as the walls.
another hot day, a man who sell me eggs told me the hens are dyeing, around hundreds of them at each day because the intense heat.
take care

Dear Beverley,
You pressed the button just in the right moment to capture this woman stepping out of the shop, which certainly has a character. So as the rural England. Its on my bucket list to return after the COVID era. Composition wise its also a good photography. The street would lead my sight towards the street on the right, but the no parking sign and the stall with the vegetables grabs it back to the woman.
Thank you for sharing!
Best Wishes,
Gy

HI Bev,
The presenc eof the person is anmating the scene. The point of view is showing the details of the shop. There is a good contrast between the colours of the picture. Have a nice day.

Hi Bev
A good pair of village photos with interesting old buildings. A pity that they've had to paint that huge no parking sign there.
cheers

Hello Bev, This No Parking sign jumps in the eye. Nice vie wof the shop selling the greengrocery products. The object behind the sign looks a bit peculiar.
In Northern Ireland, there were not such restrictions. Just the masks. I had to fulfil the form on line for the whole stay, giving the name of hotels.
Best regrads Malgo

Hello Beverley,
Counting only the hours of sunshine? In Mariusz's photos of England the sun is always shining :)
Good timing for your picture with the young woman coming out of the shop.
But the shop owner has partially violated the municipal parking ban.
The roof of the house appears to have been partially restored, judging by the two colours of the roof tiles.
I think that the small part of the stepped gable on the left also means that this house can be interesting.
Best regards, Paul

Hello Bev,
A beautiful presentation of typical small English village in the countryside.
Very recognizable are these types of houses and shops. \
Only NO PARKING surprised me a bit because it often seems that you can park in these kind of villages everywhere.
Excellent work
Have a good weekend, groet Rob

Beverley, that church offers local produce but there is no parking in front of the building. Vegetables are exhibited at its entrance to attract the passersby. This area has a long history and the buildings were perfectly renovated. Fine colors, good sharpness, regards.
