Photographer's Note
A shot that follows on from my previous posting of a few days ago. Another view from Mill Hill in Shoreham-by-sea, across the Adur River Valley in West Sussex, England. A closer look at the grounds and chapel of Lancing College, which nestles in the valley at the foot of the South Downs.

Hello Brian,
A fine close-up on the college with its magnificent Neo-Gothic architecture. Looking at the date, I see that the picture was taken very recently, otherwise one might think it was an autumnal view with these beautiful warm lights and colours. Clarity is superb.

Hello Brian,
Obviously taken at the same time as your previous "Across the Valley" shot but this time using a longer lens, this also shows me exactly what the terrain is like in these parts near your home and I can fully appreciate how driving could be difficult here if you had any significant snowfall. Having said that, I can imagine that this magnificent college could look absolutely amazing standing out against a white carpet of snow and surrounded by snow-clad trees!
The light here is deliciously warm, as are the colours, and you have composed this image perfectly and pleasingly to show the grounds and chapel of Lancing College off to their very best effect. And, as always, with stunning technical quality.
Beautiful!
Kind Regards,
John.

Hello Brian,
I enjoyed your previous post enormously, but if it`s possible this one is even better, the lovely details of the buildings in the winter sunshine are beautifully displayed and the long shadows are so emotive.
A cracker.

Hello Brian,
The building fits so well into the landscape, in its autumn finery; maybe, it is because the f/g colours are replicated in the college building.
It's a lovely composition of horizontal layers, each with its own part to play in the combined effect.
I love the light, too!
Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Hi Brian!
I heard about this school, and finding himself immersed in their surroundings, help me to know him better ...
An impressive work, every single detail, each of the colors, everything fits into a set full of harmony. That moment of special light adds a very British mood, isn't it ??
A spectacular photo, full of good work and good taste. Congratulations !!

Hi Brian,
A very beautiful complex of buildings, I am really glad you posted this close up as I was really drawn to it in your other recent shot. That chapel is amazing and stands almost like a citadel above the land. The green grass is so lush too, its like a rich luxurious carpet. Cool place and beautiful moody shot.
Cheers

Hello Brian
Missed this one. Title says it all. I thought this looked familiar and I was certain I had already critiqued it. Then I noticed it seemed larger than I recalled. The same, lovely dappled light and contrasts between shadows and sunlight as in the previous shot. With excellent sharpness and superb colour and saturation. Tfs!
