Photographer's Note
One of the woodlands where I have shared pictures of the bluebell carpet.
This part of the wood is planted with conifers, unlike the bluebell part that is filled with deciduous trees.
The straight trunks are perfect for all sorts of uses.
One more shot in the workshop. I was unsure which to post as the main post, what do you think?
Thanks for looking.

Hi Jean
Really tall trees reaching for the sky and the path beckoning you on. I think I prefer this one but glad you posted the other as it gives a different perspective.

Hello Jean,
This forest of conifers makes me think of the area where I grew up in a village surrounded by deep forests. The WS is nice, but I prefer this one for the greater variety of vegetation and for the path creating depth and giving me a sense of going for a walk here myself. This was 13 years ago tomorrow. I hope you have such nice weather this year too. The light is very good and gives the photo excellent clarity.
Kind regards,
Gert

Hello Jean,
Forest like this we do not have in Israel, only very different kind - and I say this as I saw the WS picture which is exceptinally imposing.
The main photo has good sense of depth with theb trail we see upfront, a nice place to take an easy stride on a nice day.
Good evening,
Ike

Hello Jean,
The w/s has good repetition of verticals but, for me, this is the better of the two, with a guiding pathway between the contrasting areas and lovely dappled sunlight on the path.
The conifers give a completely different impression to the sprawling trees of the deciduous woods.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hello Jean,
My personal preference goes to the photo in the WS.
It really gives me the feeling of being in a densely wooded area.
The absence of a lot of sky in the photo is not a problem.
There is plenty of light and even sunshine.
Best regards, Paul

Hello Jean,
I really like the soft sunlight here. The forest looks very attractive for a nice walk. Good composition with the path and tall trees well placed in the middle.

Hello Jean,
The well maintained walking track adds excellent linear perspective. Good sharpness and the conifer forest at right contrasts well with the deciduous trees and shrubs at right. Spring is always a great time in Europe when the dead frost bitten grass comes to life and the naked tree branches burst with buds and green leaves. Tfs!

Hi Jean,
great photos showing well the forest atmosphere. Here we can see the edge of the forest while the workshop faces into the forest.
Forests similarly to lakes are very difficult to present well. You did a great job here and you show a less known aspect of the UK here.
Very well done,
M

Hello Jean,
From the wood of bluebell to this 'spring walk' in the wood is so wonderful and beautiful.
All trees are not only essential for life but they are the longest living things on earth ....they have 'seen' it all.
I would prefer this one, for sure. It's open and airy with the warm spring sunlight. The WS is a bit too crowded with trunks and dry ground ( less green ).
Thanks for sharing this 'conifer' wood.

Hi Jean.
Fantastic perspective that the path gives us, which invites us to a pleasant walk through that forest, the tall pines and straight trunks grow looking for the light.
The WS photo is gorgeous with the thick straight trunks, but I think you got the main photo right.
Wonderful colors, soft tones, excellent sharpness and splendid light.
Very well done. I like very much.
Have a nice week.
Very best regards.
Luis.
