Photographer's Note

Just near the colourful passage from my last post, here another place full of colour in Canary Wharf.
I like the area of London Docklands very much and went there many times.

"London Docklands is the riverfront and former docks in London. It is located in inner east and southeast London, in the boroughs of Southwark, Tower Hamlets, Lewisham, Newham, and Greenwich. The docks were formerly part of the Port of London, at one time the world's largest port. After the docks closed, the area had become derelict and poverty-ridden by the 1980s. The Docklands' regeneration began later that decade; it has been redeveloped principally for commercial and residential use. The name "London Docklands" was used for the first time in a government report on redevelopment plans in 1971 and has since been almost universally adopted. The redevelopment created wealth, but also led to some conflict between the new and old communities in the area. " Wikipedia

Hello Malgo,
Children and a colourful playground could become a theme today. The main photo is certainly the nicest, but my favourite is rather WS #2 with the interesting reflecting sculpture and the modern environment. Yes, I can see you in an enlarged view. This is a part of London that is completely unknown to me. When I spent two weeks in London in 1966 (the longest time I have been there) these areas were slums that were best avoided.

Hello Malgo,
What a great photo of this colourful and busy playground with in the background many of those tall glass fa鏰des of this business district. Not a combination you would really expect. Well captured.

Hello Malgo, a lovely colourful scene; they appear to be playing what we call 'crazy golf'. The play area has been created to look as appealing and inviting to children as possible.
I like all three shots. The sculpture with its beautiful shiny surface is a perfect subject for a photographer.

Some countries not allow to show children alone at playground nor at school from such a close range, Malgo.
Well managed tpo show action of youngsters and (probably) parents.
Colorful outcome and distinct contrast.

I like the colors in the main entry and the WS photo with the playground in the background. The reflective sculpture in the other WS photo must have offered many opportunities. I had to enlarge it to see you.

Hi Malgo,

A colourful children's playground with good sharpness and effective tight framing. Seems to be more of an interactive playground than a traditional one with swings seesaw and monkey bars. Tfs!
