Photographer's Note

I was walking beside Pressmennan Lake in Pressmennan Wood near Stenton and came across this wee house set into a tree.

There seems to be a sculpture project going on as the whole thing was fresh and there were a couple of other pieces around. It will be interesting to see what else is around on a less rainy day.

I have posted a workshop to give you a better idea of the scale - the door & window are tiny & the door has an inscription.

I discovered another wee house here: Odon Poolittle lives here

A note about the place:

A narrow man-made loch of East Lothian, Pressmennan (also Pressman) Loch (or Pressmennan Lake) lies in a steep ravine at the eastern end of the Lammermuir Hills, a mile (1.5 km) southeast of Stenton. Created in 1819, the reservoir is 1 miles (2 km) in length and surrounded by mixed woodland, part of which is said to represent one of the last traces of Scotland's ancient native woodland.
