The details on the wood are very, very nice and make a great contrast with the blurry golden tones behind it.

I agree with "snuggleaphagus" about the details in the wood and the contrast with the background. I also like your frame.

Thanks for forcing me to look up a word in my dictionnary. I can now tell you that it's called a pergola in french too, but the definition in the french dictionnary is quite vague... If you feel like it, can you show me a whole pergola. Thanks in advance!

I saw this amazing shot yesterday, though I couldn't write on it. I promised myself I would come back here and let you know how great I think it is: almost tridimensional, the pergola almost emerges from the image. One of my favourites.
