A combined view with a pavilion In the Israeli side and most notable the Saint George the Baptist Romanian church across the river, obviously across the border to the Jordan Kingdom, where there several other churches from different congregations (zoom in on the map).

Quasr-al-Yahud is mostly sacred to Orthodox church worshipers, where according to tradition beside the Jordan River, Bethany-beyond-the-Jordan, where Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist.

According to the Jewish belief, here is the place where Joshua and Israelis crossed the river from Moav Kingdom in 1280BC, entered the Israel land and conquered Jericho.

Location is at 31.83697, 35.5463 on the map. An interesting note on the WS.
