Photographer's Note
It may be useful to read this note:
My last two pictures towards the east bank of the Jordan river at the Quasr-al-Yahud baptism site.
Shown on the far side hills are the Lutheran church, Bethany Beyond-Jordan which appears on the upper right side, the Surb Karapet Armenian-Apostolic church "between" the Saint-George the Baptist Romanian-church two parts edifices in the foreground, built closer to the water edge of the Jordan river.
The eight bells on the tower shown through, above the mast with Jordan-kingdom flag.
The site is at 31.83697, 35.5463 on the map.
RAW, F8.0, 1/1000, ISO100. All pictures from this site were taken under 40c temp's and some 70% humidity.

Hi Ike
Another good one of an old church. This one does have a little vegetation around it although you can still see arid country behind.
cheers

Hello Ike,
I really like how the sunlight is catching the St. George church, making it glow and shine like gold on the dome.
By contrast, the r/h section is much more subdued, the bells appearing ghostly in the upper window.
This church anchors the f/g really well to create a great sense of the depth to the other churches, minuscule in the b/g.
Have a great w/e,
Bev :-)

Hello Ike,
I would have exchanged these photos and used your WS as main photo. The WS give us a more undisturbed view of the nearest churches and I find the exposure, or processing, better. Admittedly your main photo gives us a better view of the buildings in the distance and a slightly better view of the bells in the tower.
Regards,
Gert

Hi Ike
Good inclusion of the additional bg churches on the horizon. Excellent sharpness and this appeals to me more than the baptism site. The golden domes contrast well with the blue grey sky. Looks hot & dry. Tfs!

Hi Ike,first of all thank you for working for us in this terrible climate. 2 excellent photos showing the 3 churches of different religions in an excellent way, the first is a bit disturbed by the palm trees but has the church in the background perfectly wedged between the other 2, while the WS sees a cleaner version but with the third church in the background on the right. Great compositions from this place that oozes history from everywhere. Have a nice weekend and thanks,Luciano

Hi Ike,
The trees are helping to frame the scene. The point of view is showing the details of the bell towers and of the dome of the churches. The light is giving good colors output. Have a nice day.

Hi Ike,
Interesting tele shot showing churches across the border. You captured a nice composition of these, I guess your choice of the angle was limited. I like the glow of the golden dome. Green foreground looks good too.

Hello Ike,
The eight bells in the church tower are the best visible in your main picture.
Yet, I have a small preference for your photo in the WS.
I think the three towers are standing just a tad better apart.
Also, there is no tree that limits part of the view.
In addition, the image is slightly brighter and the flag flutters more fully.
Best regards, Paul

Hello Ike,
A nice capture of the church tower and the golden dome. Both stand out so well from the sky and the inclusion of the (palm) trees in the foreground is very nice as well.

Hi Ike.
A great composition, with this beautiful image that shows us three churches in a short distance, the branches of the palm trees embellish the lower part of the image.
Wonderful colors in soft tones, good sharpness and clarity.
Well done. I like.
You have a good day.
Kind regards.
Luis.

Hi Ike,
that high temperature and humidity does not make the atmosphere too pleasant, but it didn't stop you from recording a very interesting composition with several temples visible in one shot.
The golden domes add more color to the scene and so do the palm trees and other plants in the foreground.
Very well seen and captured,
M
